Emilie is licensed with the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice and is certified through the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. She graduated cum laude with a Master’s degree in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, MN in 2018.
Emilie studied in Zhengzhou China in April 2017 in the areas of pain, pediatrics, tui na massage, and oncology. Emilie had internships at The Children’s Masonic Hospital, Allina Hospital (in the joint replacement center, and mother baby unit), The Human Performance Center (sports medicine), Pathways, and Cerenity Senior Living Center. Emilie is certified in Mei Zen facial and neck rejuvenation acupuncture.
Emilie enjoys treating the entire family. Her specialty areas include chronic pain, mental health, veterans, sports medicine, allergies, and general wellness.
Emilie was introduced to acupuncture while pregnant in the Navy and realized that Traditional Chinese Medicine was her passion. After leaving the Navy and staying home with her girls Emilie decided to complete her education in Traditional Chinese Medicine so she could help others find relief from pain and other illness.
Emilie incorporates many Traditional Chinese Medicine modalities into her treatments such as fire cupping, gua sha, tui na, moxibustion, and electrical stimulation.
Emilie has a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte, a Juris Doctor degree from William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, MN, and was an active duty Navy Judge Advocate General for 8 ½ years.
